Ketika beratus kali cuba menghasilkan “the perfect” booties ini, saya mencuba pelbagai jenis benang kait dan jarum yang sesuai untuk menghasilkan booties yang tidak terlalu lembik/lembut, dan juga tidak terlalu kasar. Melalui dapatan ini, bagi mendapatkan booties yang lembut tetap kukuh dan tidak terlalu keras, benang kait dari jenis acrylic ataupun blended acrylic adalah yang terbaik untuk pattern ini menggunakan jarum bersaiz 3.00 mm, di mana benang kait tersebut adalah di dalam kategori berat MEDIUM ataupun LIGHT (NO3 atau NO 4)

Assalamualaikum and good day to all visitors of senimengait.com. Alhamduillah, at this early morning, I have the opportunity to share with you my new written pattern. After hundreds of trial and error to create “the perfect” booties, I used many types of yarns and sizes of hooks to ensure that the booties is not too soft, not too hard but still has strong shape and also is not too harsh for babies to wear. Thus, I found out that using baby acrylic or blended acrylic yarns are the best choice for this pattern which are under the category of Medium or Light with 3.00 mm hook.

3 or Light	DK (Double Knit) or 8 ply	8 ply
4 or Medium	Aran, Triple Knit (rare)	10 or 12 ply

Untuk saiz yang akan saya gunakan pada pattern ini, saya akan sertakan tiga saiz iaitu saiz untuk tapak kaki 3.00 +- inci, 3.50 +- inci dan juga 4.00 +- inci.

The size that I’ll be writing down here will be 3.00+- inch, 3.50+- inch and 4.00+- inch sole.

1 buku Benang Kait 100 gram ialah berharga RM18.00.
1 skein of yarn cost RM18.00.
Untuk sepasang booties 3.5 inci tapak dalam 28.8 meter saya gunakan. Benang ini 240 meter.
For a pair of booties of 3.50 inch sole, I used about 28.8 meter. The yarn is about 240 meter per 100 gram.
Kita anggap 1 pasang memerlukan panjang benang 30 meter. Maka sebuku, kita boleh dapat 8 pasang untuk booties bertapak 3.5 inci.
We assume that 1 pair of booties used 30 meter length. Therefore, 1 skein will make us get about 8 pairs of booties with 3.50 inch sole.
Upah: RM5.00 (IKUT KESESUAIAN) x sepasang booties x jam menyiapkan.
Your cost of labour: RM5.00 (based on individual) x a pair of booties x hours of working
Kos sepasang : RM18.00 ÷ 8 = RM2.25 sepasang.
Cost for a pair: RM18.00 ÷ 8 = RM2.25 sepasang.
Masa menyiapkan : 3 jam
Working hours: 3 hours
ASSESORI JIKA ADA =RM5.00
ACCESSORIES if has = RM5.00
Kos jualan SEPASANG BOOTIES / Selling cost for A PAIR OF BOOTIES :
RM2.25 + (RM5.00 × 3 JAM) + 20% PROFIT ( IKUT KESESUAIAN) +RM5.00 = RM26.7 sepasang/ a pair
8 pasang/pair x RM26.70 = RM213.60
Keuntungan bersih/NETT PROFIT = RM213.6 – RM18.00 (benang kait) – (RM5.00 x 8 untuk assesori) = RM155.6.

3.00 mm crochet hook
NAKO BABY LUKS MINNOS (Light weight) (330 meter per 100 gram)
KARTOPU AKSOFT (Medium weight) (240 meter per 100 gram)
or any of medium/light weight yarns

Accesories:
2 x Buttons of your choice
Scissor to cut
Sewing needle and thread to sew buttons and flower

Abbreviations:
Ch = chain
Hdc = half double crochet
Dc = double crochet
Dc2tog = double crochet 2 together to decrease
Ss = slip stitch
Hdc = half double crochet

Size: 0 – 3 months old, 3-6 months old, 6 – 12 months old

NOTE:
1. Always slip stitch on first chain of chain 3/chain 2/chain 1.
2. Marker is necessary if you need to mark your start.

TIPS:

When playing with the MEDIUM Weight and LIGHT Weight yarns. I found out that:
If i chain 12 with MEDIUM YARN, my finished measurement for the sole is 3.50+- inch and if i chain 15 with LIGHT YARN, my finished measurement for the sole is also 3.50+- inch using same number of hook which is 3.00mm. However, the instruction below is based on MEDIUM Weight yarns. So, you can also play and do your experiment and get the right size using the pattern below :). Sounds fun, right? 😀
My size instructions will be like this:

(0-3, 3-6, 6-12)

INSTRUCTIONS (US TERMS) x Make 2

Diagrams are instructions for Size 6-12 months old (provided only until 2nd round).

Ch 10 (12,15)

Round 1:

Ch2, hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc in next 4 (6, 9) ch, dc in next 4 ch, 4 dc in next ch (last ch), continue to crochet in the round (oval shape), dc in next 4 ch, hdc in next 4 ( 6, 9 ) ch, 2hdc in last ch, ss.

Round 2:

Ch2, hdc in same loop, 2hdc in next st, hdc in next 4 (6, 9) sts, dc in next 4 sts, 2dc in next 4 sts, dc in next 4 sts, hdc in next 4 (6, 9) sts, 2hdc in next 2 sts, ss.

INCREASE & DECREASE ROUND
(Diagram below is to show how increase are done for all sizes – since the number to shape the front of the shoes are same)

Round 3:

Ch3, dc in same loop, 2dc in next sts, dc n next 6 (8, 11) sts, 2dc in next 4 sts, 2hdc in next 8 sts, 2 dc in next 4 sts, dc in next 6 (8, 11) sts, 2dc in next 2 sts, ss.

Round 4:

Ch3, dc in all sts. ss (52, 56, 62) sts.

Round 5:

Ch3, dc in next 9 (11, 14) sts, dctog2 x 16 times, dc in next 10 (12, 15 ) sts. ss.

Round 6:

Ch3, dc in next 9 (11, 14) sts, dctog2 x 1 time, dc in next 12 sts, dc2tog x 1 time, dc in next 10 (12, 15) sts. ss.

Round 7:

Ch3, dc in next 9 (11, 14) sts, dctog2 x 1 time, dc in next 10 sts, dc2tog x 1 time, dc in next 10 (12, 15) sts. ss 3 times. Cut yarn, weave off.

UPDATED:
For size 3-6 & 6-12 months old, you can repeat ROUND 7 if you think you need to decrease one more round to get a firm front shape.
REPEAT Round 7 (if need for size 3-6 & 6 – 12 months old):

Ch3, dc in next  11 (14) sts, dctog2 x 1 time, dc in next 8 sts, dc2tog x 1 time, dc in next 12 (15) sts. ss 3 times. Cut yarn, weave off.

Flower:

Final touch:

Sew button together with the flower using your favourite method on both shoes. Tidy up and you are done! 🙂
