So, I have been doing this little dress for a little girl requested by a lovely customer. Really, thank you for willing to wait. I hope she will love it and will be happy with my handmade <3
I am sure some of you would love to knit this cute “arrow” dress.. obviously you can see the arrow on the sleeve part. I really dunno how did i came up with the idea. But of course, if you don’t like how it shaped, you can just change every YO to M1.Β Well then, here we go π

Material:
1 ball of ALiZE Cotton Gold (100 gram/330 meter) β OR any 4 ply (self stripping yarn is recommended for wave effect)
4.00 mm knitting needles
Scissor to cut
2 Buttons of your choice
Needle and thread to sew button
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
Made for size: 1 -2 years old
Gauge 26.0 sts = 4 inches
Abbreviations:
CO β cast on
K β Knit
P βPurl
YO β yarn over
Yfwd β Yarn forward
Sts β stitches
NOTE:
First 4 stitches and last 4 stitches will be your border and when we come to skirt section, this 8 stitches will be decrease to 4 stitches only by knitting them together.

Knit 2 rows.
Row 3: K2, YO, k2tog, K till end
Row 4 – 6: K till end
INCREASE SECTION:
Row 7: K4 [K7, M1, K2, M1, K7] x 4 times across, K4
Row 8: K4, P till last 4 sts, K4
Row 9: K4 [K7, M1, K4, M1, K7] x 4 times across, K4
Row 10: K4, P till last 4 sts, K4
Row 11: K4 [K7, M1, K6, M1, K7] x 4 times across, K4
Row 12: K4, P till last 4 sts, K4
Row 13: K4 [K7, M1, K8, M1, K7] x 4 times across, K4
Row 14: K4, P till last 4 sts, K4
Row 15: K4 [K7, M1, K10, M1, K7] x 4 times across, K4

Row 35:Β DO NOT TURN, we will start knitting in the round. KNIT first 4 sts and last 4 stitches together. This will decrease 4 sts and only 4 sts left. After that, PLACE A MARKER to mark your start. Continue to knit as follow,
K25, P34, K50, P34, K29.
Row 36: K25, BO34, K49, BO34, K28.
SKIRT SECTION:
Next round,
Row 37: K25, CAST ON 10 sts, K50, CO10 sts, K29.
Row 38: P
Row 39: K
Row 40: P
Row 41: K
Repeat ROW 40 – 41 until at least you get 4-5 garter ridges (OR AT YOUR CHOICE it doesn’t matter how long you want it to be)
INCREASE SKIRT:
Next round,
[KFB, K4] repeat [] until the end of row.
CONTINUE to knit until your desired length or at least 20-30 cm from below armpit hole.
RUFFLE SECTION:
[KFB, K2] repeat [] until the end of row.
THEN,
Continue to knit in stockinette stitch for 20-30 more rows or to your desired length.
BEFORE BIND OFF, KNIT 1 ROUND and PURL 1 ROUND for 8 times (4-8 ridges depending on how you like it). This Garter stitch at the bottom will avoid the skirt to fold up.
LASTLY. BIND OFF. Cut yarn and weave in every extra yarn left. SEW your favourite button. Done! π
