Alhamdulillah… I am very happy that finally I got a chance to write down this pattern. I’ve been pushing myself to knit this one for my daughter. I called it a sweet dreams gown cause I am planning to make she wears this at night as a night gown. Do you see the flower ribbon I attached on the garter stitch band? Hehe… honestly the flower i done it with photoshop. After knitting this for 5 days straight, honestly I don’t have any energy left to knit a flower or a ribbon. So, this “naughty” idea just pop into my mind. Well well… hopefully it doesn’t ruin the look of this dress 😀 Alright. Let’s start knitting one!

2 balls of NAKO Baby Luks Minnos Lovely Baby
(100 gram/330 meter) – OR any Dk/8 ply
4.00 mm knitting needles
Scissor to cut
3 Buttons of your choice
Needle and thread to sew button
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
Made for size: 3 – 4 years old
Gauge (using 4.00 mm needle):
11 stiches = 2 inch
16 rows = 2 inch
Abbreviations:
CO – cast on
K – Knit
P –Purl
YO – yarn over
Yfwd – Yarn forward
Sts – stitches
Sts – stitches
NOTE:
1. First 4 stitches and last 4 stitches will be your border and when we come to skirt section, this 8 stitches will be decrease to 4 stitches only by knitting them together.

Row 41: K till before last 4 sts. Do not knit yet the last 4 sts. We will join in the next row.
Row 42: DO NOT TURN, slip the last 4 sts into other needles, put on the back left needle. Knit last 4 sts and first 4 sts together to join band (make sure your buttonhole is on top of other band when joining). Mark your start. (You will decrease 4 sts here). We will start knit in the round.
Round 1: K30, P34, K64, P34, K34
Round 2: K30, BO34, K63, BO34, K33
Round 3: K30, CO15, K64, CO15, K34 (158 sts)
Band (Garter stitch):
Round 4: K
Round 5: P
Repeat Round 4- Round 5 for 5-6 times more.
SKIRT SECTION:
With Color B,
Next, K till end of round by adding 10 sts evenly) (168 sts)
Next, K till end and continue to knit in the round until at least 10 cm length from garter stitch band.
Next round: K till end of round by adding 20 sts evenly (188 sts)
Next, K till end and continue to knit in the round until at least 20 cm length from garter stitch band.
Next round: K till end of round by adding 12 sts evenly across (200 sts)
Continue to knit in the round until you reach 30 cm from garter stitch band,
Next round: (K4, M1) repeat till end of round. (220 sts)
Continue knitting in the round again until your desired length.
Before Bind Off
Last 2 round:
Purl till end.
Bind of knitwise.
Cut yarn and weave in every extra yarn left. SEW your favourite button. Done! 🙂
IMPORTANT: At this point, you will notice that the bottom part will curl up. PLEASE make sure you do your blocking to help the dress stays flat. Plus, it will gives you the best result and touch of your gown <3
