2. If you need to get smaller size than this, you can change the size of hook and yarn weight. I recommend you to use 4.00mm hook with DK light weight yarns to achieve the size of 1 to 2 years old. If you need to make for a baby of 1 year below, you may skip Row 9 and 10 or used sport weight yarns with 3.50 mm size of hook.
3. You will notice that the back side of this dress will gives a bit of ruffle look, The ruffle shape at the back side was designed intentionally. However, it was not decided which side will be front and back when i was making this, honestly. Since both side produce different design, so, you can decide which side you will love it to be at the front or back.

Kelas Mengait bersama Pn. Mahani J :)

Bak doa orang Turkey, Ellerine Saglik ( suami saya translate – May your hand be healthy ) πŸ˜€

Betul kata seorang guru saya masa dulu..

Hihi… Terima kasih sekali lagi.. ada umur jumpa lagi.

Hugsss! and kissesss!!

Tips memulakan belajar mengait baju!

::?

Tips:

Ch: chain
DC: double crochet
SC: single crochet
St: stitch

Assalmualaikum semua..

Alhamdulillah..Β  dapat juga saya postkan entry baru kali ni πŸ™‚ Especially lately, been busy with some tasks though its a holiday right now, still can’t help it. Life is always like that, isn’t it? xD

Alhamdulilah again, since I am out of made-to-order at the moment, so, I finally have my own time to continue with my pending WIP.

Right: Knitting WIP for a shawl, Left: Crochet WIP for a baby blanket

Shawl yang ni adalah percubaan kedua saya. Yang first tu.. masih lagi pending dan duduk diam kat dalam beg xD hehe.. jangan tanya bila siap πŸ˜› mmg lama rasanya nak siapkan yang tu.. since currently I’ve been focusing more with these two projects!

Unikkan? For me, this technique is quite easy and easy to detect the wings of the shawl and more faster to knit! I guess, 1 ball of the baby yarn will be enough to make size M-L shawl πŸ™‚ Can’t wait to finish this too!

Untuk yang blanket.. ni adalah projek yang betul2 mengambil masa saya..sebabnya.. mengait secara bulatan mencabar betul @_@ Compared to square blanket, this round blanket took more time to crochet as it turns bigger and bigger..Β  πŸ™ After this.. saya confirm tak mahu kait blanket secara in the round lagi huhuhu..Β  But did you notice the hooks that I put on the blanket? Ketika mengait blanket ni.. saya telah beberapa kali tukar crochet hook hanya semata-mata mencari keselesaan ketika mengait. Is that cerewet? :p hehe.. no lah kan xD

Dari bawah: Hamanaka Raku Raku, Clover Comfort Handle, Aluminium Comfort Handle (no brand) and Addi Comfort. They are all 3.5mm except the hamanaka comes with 3mm & 4mm sizes.

The same thing happened to me too. Masalah bila terlalu lama mengait, tangan akan rasa lenguh dan jari-jemari mula berasa sakit. Jadi apa yang perlu dibuat? Kita kenalah rest sebentar dari terus mengait even projek berjela-jela panjang menunggu giliran untuk disiapkan T__T masalah kan?

And thus, these comfort handle hook is invented, especially for hard-core crocheter, to avoid stressing the fingers and to give more comfortable long-hours crocheting! πŸ™‚

For me, saya bukanlah seorang crocheter yang tegar.. tetapi sebagai peminat mengait, saya juga menginginkan keselesaan sewaktu mengait, how about you? πŸ™‚ Walaupun terpaksa melabur, tetapi, hasilnya sangat memuaskan hati apabila kita memperolehi keselesaan yang diinginkan ketika mengait. Jadi disini, saya ingin berkongsi review tentang hooks ni:

1. Hamanaka Raku Raku : One of the luxury hooks made in Japan, comes with 10 sizes *double ended*. Very comfortable. Permukaan aluminium hook ni sangat licin (seperti Tulip hook double ended) yang bonusnya handle ni very nice to grab. But, cuma ada satu masalah for me πŸ™Β  as a knife-holder, masih ada rasa yang kurang sewaktu menggunakan jarum ni (mungkin masih terdapat space kat tapak tangan yang rasa kurang selesa sewaktu memegang jarum ni) Akibatnya, menyebabkan kelancaran mengait kurang memuaskan. Walaupun macam tu, this is one of the best hook that a crocheter must try! Still I am sticking with this for this moment.

2. Clover Comfort Handle Hook: Yang ni pun best! Also made in Japan. Very suitable for knife-holder like me πŸ™‚ Saya suka pakai yang ni. They said, this crochet hook is very suitable for beginners. Aluminium hook pun licin dan jarang tersangkut benang sewaktu mengait. Only the small thing about this hook…. kadang2 permukaan aluminium dia membuatkan rasa gigi saya ngilu sikit xD hehe.. so, kesimpulannya.. kena kait dengan benang yang sesuai supaya tidak rasa ngilu! But I do suggest this hook for everyone too πŸ™‚

3. No Brand Aluminium Comfort Handle: Oh.. yang ni adalah yang paling affordable compared to the among four. This is made in China.. present in cute colours and very comfortable handle. Setelah beberapa kali mencuba yang ni.. ohhh saya memang jatuh cinta dengan handle dia! Pada awalnya.. apabila mengait menggunakan crochet hook ni.. terasa sedikit kesat.. tetapi setelah beberapa minit kaitan diteruskan, alhamdulillah.. permukaan badan hook semakin licin dan sangat laju ketika mengait. Not bad kan?!

Alangkah baiknya kalau Hamanaka mempunyai handle seperti ini πŸ™‚ The hook+the handle, will bring 100% comfortness. Ups.. jangan marah hamanaka πŸ˜›

4. ADDi Comfort Handle: Brand ADDi merupakan brand yang terkenal made in Germany. Speciality in ADDi is the nickle-plated knitting needles. Very smooth, very slippery, very fast πŸ™‚ and totally I am in love with the needles 100%. But this time, saya mencuba juga ADDi hook ini. The metal part is as slippery as the needles. Its good! Only the non-comfortable part for me is the handle and the hook itself. Kenapa? But i think.. sesiapa yang menggunakan hook dengan cara pensil and doesn’t care about the empty space under the palm.. this hook is for you!

May Allah swt bless us all! Thank you for hopping by!
